joinerisme
Unwiring The Rainbow by Richard Dawkins.Very thought provoking.I often have to read a page 2 or 3 times to take it in.I think I must be a bit thick!
taxman
The Collected Ghost Stories of M.R. James. I've probably read them all before but I do like those sort of atmospheric, mood stories where what is left unwritten can be the most scary. Plus I need a break from novels. missymoo73
Marian Keyes, The Charming Man - not a bad book really. I saw here interviewed on Loose Woman and enjoyed her sense of humour so thought i would give her books a shot so as I say not bad at the moment will let you know when I've finished it if it was any good

Sweatshopboy
I am about two thirds through Azincourt by Bernard Cornwall, quite good but I don't think it compares with The White Company or Sir Nigel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
taxman
I am about two thirds through Azincourt by Bernard Cornwall, quite good but I don't think it compares with The White Company or Sir Nigel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sir Nigel is a brilliant book, sadly it isn't as well known as it should be, overshadowed somewhat by Conan Doyle's more famous creation.
Sweatshopboy
Have just finished Azincourt by Bernard Cornwall, and if you like your historical novels filled with blood and guts, this is for you. Just going to start Dissolution by C. J. Sansom going on the critics comments I'm on another winner.
Phanerothyme
I've just finished the The Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson. 2500 pages (over several books in 3 volumes) of dazzling storytelling. The sheer disappointment of finishing the work is hard to describe. The utter brilliance of it similarly evades description. No novel has been this stimulating since Vineland or Foucault's Pendulum. 11/
