Party Venue, Room Hire, Megathread....

I have just had a 50th birthday party at the Hillsborough Club, on Bradfield Road. The place is amazing! the room is large, nicely decorated, and has full disabled facilities. The staff are really friendly and the price is very reasonable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a function room.:)

Please note I no longer run the Devonshire Arms Ecclesall Rd! All previous posts and reviews of the events were based on my organising and running. I am sure the new tennants will do their best to help also, but please dont rely on my previous reccomendations.

Hi all,

I have been through all the suggestions already made and have my list of possibilities...!! I am wanting to sort out a venue for a joint 30th either 14th or 28th November. Between 50-80 people but somewhere where we can have a live band played (friends) followed by a DJ (also a friend). All we really want is a venue that is reasonably central to Sheffield, has a good bar and willing to have live music.

Happy to pay up to £100 for room hire.

One place that hasn't been mentioned in this thread so far are Working Men Clubs??? Anyone know whether they are easy to hire?? I remember going to a birthday party at Nether Edge Working mens club last year and they had a live band and a good bar... Anyone know about the costs involved??

CHEERS!!!!
