boston
Out of interest i know that the former palace cinema now houses a few small shops in the shopping mall on the ground floor. But looking at the actual size of the building, does much of the former cinema remain in the back and upper areas of the large building?. I was to young to ever visit the cinema in operation, and i know a couple or so years ago the old projection room was demolished. But i am curious as to if any parts of the origional cinema are intact.

strummerjoe
Hi, yes the upstairs above the shopping mall is as it was decor wise, the seating has been removed but the balcony & stage surround remain intact. The decorative plaster on the ceiling is still there but has some damage where the roof once leaked.
