Redrio
Does anyone remeber this school and what might have happened to it. I was there in the late 50s but due to an unfortunate outburst of language I was asked to change schools and moved to St. Wilfrids.

Redneck
It is still there, or was a few years ago, but it is not run by the Sisters of Mercy any longer. I spoke to a Sister Catherine about 8 years ago and she said that there were just a few nuns living in a house in Fulwood now.
proops2000
It is still there, it is a private school, the nuns have long gone, a lot of the land has been sold off for housing, it is a sad loss, the nuns did gain the respect of the pupils. Redneck
I often think about Mylnhurst although, as a boy, I only went there for a few years from 1935 to 1939. My life went down hill after that so I suppose those few years seem very special. For some reason or other, I have always remembered the Monkey Puzzle tree that grew along side the driveway. As a kid, I was a well known pyromaniac and once set fire to the dry grass, etc. around the tennis courts - the nuns remembered that 30 years later. Imagine a shop selling matches to a 7 year old today.
