I didn't really look at this link properly first time round. I've had a closer look now and was intrigued to see that this chap has written "best-selling guides" to living and working in countries he's never visited. I couldn't resist checking that out, and on Amazon it's possible to have a look inside the Italy one (not the Germany one, unfortunately). It contains some dazzling insights. For instance he sagely informs you that you stand a better chance of finding a job if you're qualified and can speak the language. I'll bear that in mind
