buck Posted February 6, 2016 Share Posted February 6, 2016 My Grandmother ran a business in Brightside making pikelets and oatcakes and selling them to the steelworkers at all the neighborhood mills. Pikelets are unrisen crumpets. Oatcakes are flat and of bigger diameter. They are delicious fried with eggs and bacon for breakfast. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
