A few friends of mine have mentioned it but won't disclose any info as it's apparently a bit of a secret!!! But i think that's crap! theimposter Posted January 10, 2005 Share Posted January 10, 2005 Club 60 I think was a soul/r&b/ jazz club that was on Shalesmoor. I think it opened in 1960 hence the name. Scott76 Posted January 10, 2005 Share Posted January 10, 2005 Club 60 was on shalesmoor, it's mentioned in the book 'not a proper job', the bloke that ran also ran the esquire( now the leadmill), he was peter stringfellows main rival in the 60's in sheffield. He became an antiques dealer & later went to prison in the late 80's for sending his ex partner a nail bomb through the post & nearly killed her, i think he's out now????
