partyboybmx
Hey Guys! My names Daniel Clifford and I run the Bolehills BMX club in the Walkley/Crookes are of Sheffield. I have been involved with the club for about 5 years and this year we are attempting to raise money via community grants and so forth to regenerate the track and some of the surrounding area. We have recently been awarded a grant from O2/Conservation Foundation, "it's your community" and we are having a press day at the track this Saturday the 9th of February. Even though the work hasn't even really began yet, the track is riding really well and is looking pretty good. We are having some local news papers come up to take pictures and O2/Conservation Foundation have kindly written us a sterling press release. What i'm after from you friendly folks of Sheffield is if you have children that ride at the track, or you used to ride, or you have an interest in whats going on down there, please drop by and come say hello this Saturday. This year we as a club are really keen to expand into the Community and offer a safe, enjoyable place to ride and socialise for everybody. I'll be there for about 10am getting things in shape, and we'll also be setting up the start gate, and if there is time i'll be doing a little bit of coaching (i'm a British Cycling qualified coach). So please, if this sounds like a bit of fun, drop by and say hello! Details are: Date: Saturday 9th February Time: 12 – 1pm Location: Bolehills Recreation Ground, Bole Hill Road, Walkley, Sheffield, S6 5DE Be awesome to see as many there as possible. Thanks Daniel Clifford Sheffield Dirt Society BMX Club
DaFoot
Would you/the riders mind an amateur snapper coming up to take some pics?
partyboybmx
Hi there I certainly wouldn't, obviously there are child protection issues, so you'll have to announce yourself, but I can't see it being a problem at all. I'm sure they'll be lots of people with cameras going off. I hope so anyway! Its looking quite good on the Weather outlook, and with some of the best views over Sheffield it should be a pleasant afternoon out! Cheers
