What has happened to the Churchill tank at Thorncliffe

Can anybody tell me for certain who owns or is responsible for the Tank Monument at the old Newton Chambers works on the corner of Warren Lane/ Thorncliffe road, Chapeltown?

 

I know someone who may be interested in offering it some renovation and up-keep. We can’t find out who it belongs to though. Please get in touch if you know anything.

They were yes. I was reading about it last week, and apparently the one that was left at Thorncliffe was involved in the D-Day Landings. Apparently Newton & Chambers drove it onto the concrete plinth as a monument and left it running while draining the oil to sieze the engine so it would stay there, which it did until very recently.

not too sure about it's involvement in the d-day landings, the turret was was a Churchill MkII and the chassis from a MkI
