daftlad
Mike Groves....Where was he based? The name sounds familiar. Sid's coaches, If that's the one from Rotherham it was owned by Syd Wood who was based on Tenter Street, Syd was manager for Rotherham United at one time, or so I seem to remember. Ladyline was from Rawmarsh and was owned by by Cyril Goodridge, I think the company is still going. Wigmores were from Dinnington and I remember they had a lot of accidents on Royds Moor between Thurcroft and Whiston, thet spent more times in the fields than on the roads (Apologies to any ex-Wiggies drivers who may read this!) Here are a few more bus and coach companies I used to deal with, mostly from the Rotherham area. H & C Thompson. Terry King. Billy Stevens Coaches. Powells. Kevin Lambert Coaches. Limbs of Maltby. Mawby Brothers of Tickhill. Mick Taylor Coaches Dinnington. Jarvis Coaches. Andrew Hogg Sheffield. Brian Kinsley Stocksbridge. Probably somewhere lurking in the back of my mind are some others. i can remember rileys coaches of rotherham

nicolariley1
Yeah you are right Tenter Street. My Grandad sadly passed away Friday 13th July aged 93. He was Chairman of RUFC so you got that right as well. A true gentleman to the end
