quisquose
This is an old thread isn't it. OFSTED have recently announced that they are going to perform an increasing number of "no notice" inspections on independent schools falling under its direct control. The problem is that there are an increasing number of faith schools being set up outside their control, or any control for that matter. This article is quite concerning: http://m.guardian.co.uk/education/2011/nov/28/muslim-schools-growth?cat=education&type=article
Bloomdido
No I think they stopped them in 76 Well done It is still a requirement to hold a "broadly Christian act of worship" in schools in this country every day of the week. With people like "Bible giving Gove" at the helm, this is unlikely to change. Faith schools have a better handle on it for obvious reasons. Perhaps if all 'concerned' parents complained to schools that their kids weren't being properly indoctrinated, something might change.
