Recommended Posts

Magnet yes ,Royal lancers 66/68 penistone road why? A proper pub with proper people not full of chavs or drugs.Spent many happy nights in there playing cards and darts and a pint of tetleys as a teenager never saw any trouble in years just friendly banter, good old days and i lived miles away but still considered it as my local

Has anybody been in The East House

18, Spital Hill, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S4 7LG recently.

I was in about a month ago, its sad to see the state of it now compared with a couple of years ago. The Moonshine has gone to be replaced by Greene King IPA, like dishwater. I shan't be going in again!

The Far Lees boozer near me has been closed down for years now, its a decent building what could be used as any type of shop/youth club/ or even another pub.

Sad state of affairs which can only be blamed on the government.

I think the days of the big 'estate boozers' are well and truly over. People want more than that these days.

I personally hate Wetherspoons due to the clientele it attracts. No matter where you go in the UK its the same sort of people frequenting them. I remember the big Yates wine lodges in Blackpool, the Wetherpoons of its day I reckon.
