smary
Can anyone remember live shows at the Gaumont near Coles - I am sure I saw the Stones there - and Billy Fury who had a broken arm at the time - it must have been about 1963!! I am dreaming??
Nigel Womersle
No you are not dreaming. The Rolling Stones did play at the Sheffield Gaumont. I have a feeling it was 1964, but apologise if I am wrong. Can't help with Billy Fury. Sorry.

Hindy52
I saw Lulu at the Gaumont in '64. Also Dave Berry and the Cruisers used to play on Saturday mornings. I also saw Lulu around the same time, also on the bill was Milly (My boy lollipop) and the Applejacks (Have I the right) with the novelty of a female drummer.
