verona
Forgive me if there's a post running for this, I looked but couldn't find one. Anyway, does anyone else think this place is overated? I went with the wife for her birthday and on consuming the starters we found a blue bottle in the satay dipping sauce, legs, head, the full works staring up at me. Thought it strange as it is winter. I called the owner over and told him what I'd found and he just said sorry in a very abrupt manner and took the plate away. I said to my wife that if he doesn't come back and offer us a drink on the house we are going. Fifteen minutes later, no sign of him so we got up and left, as we got in the car he slammed shut the door of the restaurant on us. We love eating out and would have stayed had he given us a genuine apology. Never again and neither will my friends eat at this scruff hole, his attitude stinks more than his food. verona
Yes I've heard the Siam in Chesterfield is a very good authentic Thai restaurant, I must try it. I must point out that Thai at The Travellers is in Holmesfield.
