Some years ago, I was walking around the Eldon Street area and around the old Taylor's Eyewitness works between Hanover Way and Fitzwilliam Street, and on some wall of the Eyewitness Works buildings I feel sure I saw a strangely inscribed stone. I found it quite odd and spooky, and it seemed as if the words might be some kind of religious text, but seemed to give some hint of the origin of the Eyewitness name. I've been back loads of times since, and have never managed to find the stone again. Was I just imagining it, or does anyone else know about it? Does anyone know what the inscription said, where it was from, and whether any photographs of it exist? Grateful for any info, it's been bugging me for ages!!!
