Texas
A relative recently told me of a archaeological dig in progress at the Wicker end of Nursery Street. If true, why, exactly where and why? In these days of major change in Sheffield, have there been many more digs? Want to know a lot, don't I?

shovelmonkey
Hi Texas Try this link http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/SYAS or just google for the south yorkshire archaeology service. SYAS advise the city council on the archaeological implications of development work within the planning process. Results of work are available on the website, in an annual publication, and at an annual 'archaeology day' of talks. Enjoy....
