phawley Posted March 19, 2008 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Since I had a new debit card issued by my bank I have been having problems with paying by Paypal, all my payments go as an "echeque" and do not clear for around 2 weeks. I have gone through all the process of verifying my account i.e. having two small amounts payed into my account and telling Paypal what they were. I have emailed Paypal to ask them what I am doing wrong but so far have had no reply (no surprise there). Any of you bright sparks out there can put me right. I think it has been established before that the reason you have "problems" is that you don't have a debit/credit card and so payments go through clearing system and that you have bought pirated games, neither of those things are the fault of Paypal or Ebay. It said I had to verify my details again, as I had sent or received some silly amount of money over the past year, which I clearly haven't. I now have stuff not paid for, a payment that was sent to me reversed, and I am seething. To top it all where the hell iaree the small amounts they have supposed to have paid in to my account, in order for me to verify it again?I give up!!! That was because I had only recently set up the bank funding and it was still having set up problems, these problems are now sorted. However I managed to phone Paypal, (used saynoto0870 to find a free number) and although I am using a debit card they say that I must also have a credit card registered with them. I then recalled that when I tried to register my credit card with them I was told that my credit card (new one) was disallowed and to register another one. As I only have the one personal credit card it looks like I'm snookered at the moment so it is back to contacting Paypal again.
