Interlaken
No I didn't know it was a 'no go area'. I didn't realise things were so bad. I am 250 miles away. Is repatriation a banned word on here?

I agree sometimes I finish work in the earlier hours and call at the big grocers on spital hill for some beers very reasonable prices as well still have fond memories of page hall Edited April 21, 2016 by bantycock

Thank you for your pics of FPL my wedding reception was held in the pavillion in 1960. McGreggors was a milk shake shop in 1953/4. I used to stop sometimes for a shake on my way from Owler Lane Itermediate school.

fleetwood
I lived 97, Hinde House Lane from 1944 - 1968 & mum & dad lived there into 1990's. Real shame what its like now. My grandparents lived on Hinde House Lane for about the same length of time around 1944 to 68 having lived before on Chambers Lane, Page Hall Rd, Ecclesfeild, a fish and chip shop on Ellerton Rd (bombed out of that one) and finally settling on Hinde House. They lived on the left hand side looking up in the first entry after the big corner store that had big windows on Page Hall and Hinde House. As I recall Hinde House Lane got Ritzier the higher up you went. fleetwood
