It could be a clock ticking next door or something. How thin are the walls? My mum and step dads be croon is opposite and mum often says she can hear my clock ticking in there, as my bedroom, as said, is directly opposite theirs. You might want to chat to your next door neighbour in some kind of way and ask if they have a ticking clock in the room next door to yours! If so, you may want to ask them to remove it from against the wall if it is annoying you or keeping you awake at night, I'm sure they won't mind!

Hope this helped.

P.s, I'm only 10 so it may sound stupid

I often get regular clicks, taps, and noises and there's various different sources I have figured out for them! :)

as said above, after the heating has been on, the radiators and pipes cool down and can clip and crack as they expand and contract.

just like radiators, wooden and plastic furniture can also do the same, as they heat up or cool down.

There's also some weird harmonics in this place, as often when it's raining, or has just rained, i'll hear almost like a dripping sound on the opposite side of the room to where the window is, took me a while to figure that one out!! :)

Everynight for the last week we can here a ticking like noise in our bedroom - everytime we move to find the source the ticking noise stop (bit like a cricket) - at first i thought we might have rats - but i have found no evidence for that - now i am thinking that it might be some sort of insect - chopping away and the wood under the floor boards -

anybody else had this type of thing going on or is there an expert out there who can firstly tell me what it might be and secondly how to get the thing out of my house.

thanks in advance

This sounds like a wind up :hihi:
