mikem8634
you don't seem to have any problem with the khmer rouge and the other countrys I listed, as usual you just ignore what is fact: and you don't have problems with amnesty? one of the biggest sellouts to the abuse of women (and minorities) is acceptance of the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam by fifty-seven countries. > The OIC was attempting to make freedom from insult to one's religion a human right under the UN. With punishments for offenders. As any criticism of Islam would soon be seen as a insult to Islam we would soon have lots of people in prison ( prisoners of conscience) for daring to criticise a religion. To criticise a religion is perhaps the most basic right of free speech of all. Did Amnesty not see the utter absurdity of their stance? . there is a real world outside of that bourgeois psuedo-liberal elite bubble you live in where everything is warm and fuzzy No, you are quite wrong, I have massive problems with any regime that finds a place for torture in its modus operandi, including those you have mentioned. The exisitence of those regimes, however, and any failures and mistakes that can be attributed to either the UN or Amnesty do not suddenly turn Jordan into a paragon of justice. If you can disprove the cases that the UN Committee against Torture and Amnesty International have against the role of torture in Jordanian justice then please do so. The attempts to justify collusion with state terrorism are becoming increasingly convoluted and desperate.

Better still, why not do the execution in a disused football stadium and get the public to watch (men only of course)?

Waldo
At the risk of sounding like I've been living under a rock... What has he actually done wrong? Do the authorities have any evidence of wrongdoing? If so, why are they not pursuing criminal charges?

Penistone999
About the law? The courts. That's why he's still here. Do keep up. Do you think the british public care if he disappears tonight never to be seen again . ? Do you think the British public care if he had an "Accident" tonight and was never seen again ? As long as he vanishes who cares how it happens. This country takes far too much notice of the Human rights commission ,and that is why this nutter is still darkening our shores.
