Gemmy
Does anyone know of anywhere that I could hire a horse and carriage for my wedding day? It's not until next year but I'm planning early! Also, if you had an idea of costs that would help. Thanks

Flightlevel
There is a wedding vehicle hire specialists just up the top of Bramall Lane opposite JE James cycles. They seem to have a cracking selection of very well looked after vintage Rolls Royces etc so I would be sure they may have experience of arranging horse drawn transport or know someone who can. swiftcoll
My mum paid for a horse drawn carriage for my sister's wedding last year. It was absolutely beautiful and was a lovely surprise for my sister. The price was around £700 and I can get the number if you still want it. You also need to book early because they do get fully booked early.

medusa
Are you in Sheffield? Most of the people who do this aren't prepared to travel any great distance with the horses.
biffalo
I rang springvale carriages (based in Bradway), the bloke was lovely and very helpful. He quoted me £450 for 27th june 09, but we have now decided on a different mode of transport. He did warn me though that they have a travel limit for the horses of approx 4-5miles so try to find a company near to your ceremony. http://www.springvalecarriages.co.uk/MAINPAGE.HTM

looby lou
Hi Gemmy well done on being so organised, I would try Springvale they are great. Be careful that there are no tram tracks on your route as carriages cant go on them. Good luck with the rest of your planning x
