HeliB
Hi, I'm looking for a good restaurant for a formal end of year meal on the 7th May. Needs to cater for about 50 people and be about £10 per person. Any suggestions?

nick2
50 people................£10 per person. That won't be easy, not many restaurants can even accomodate 50 people.

LJB23
La Civita Da Roberto in hillsborough is quite big inside, it's italian, not sure about £10 per head though. Probably looking at £3-5 per starter and anything in the range of £7-15 per main course, plus drinks.
LJB23
Oh there's cafe Rouge in town that's quite big and they do a two or three course meal offer, not sure if the offer is just at lunch though.

Dark Moomin
hey cheers £10 was just a rough guide, and not includng drink; we can probably stretch to £15 for 2 courses!! I would call round some of the places with larger premises and see what they can offer you. If you are happy to have a set menu (3 starter 3 main 3 pud type thing) for people to choose from ina dvance they will probably do you a reasonable deal for a lunchtime booking of that size. You could then post the places that made the best offers and people could let you know what expereinces they have ahd of them?
