Went in when on a boating holiday in 1963 - ordered 3 pints of bitter. 'We don't sell draught been here sir'. Thats the only pub I've been in where there was no draught. I expect they sell it now. lennonman Posted April 18, 2008 Share Posted April 18, 2008 the angler used to be the last pub on the friday night crawl before the dreaded cairo jax! it was a great pub in the eighties, everyone had big hair and shoulder pads, even the women. very dark and atmospheric and had some great eighties music. met Tracey and Yasmin there, wonder if they are on this site? happy memories of that place.
