Hi, we'll be moving to Sheffield in the near future, and we are very much foodies. I'm sure we'll find all sorts of fantastic eateries, what I would like 1st to know are there any good vegetarian places to go. I bet there are, so who wants to tell me...

The new tapas restaurant Platillos in Leopold square is great for vegetarians, about 10 or so of the options are veggie and the food is delicious.

Of the places in the list above, my favourite is the Bohemian, its a cafe in the day and more like a bistro at night,and you can take your own wine.

Blue Moon is ok,lovely building and nice atmosphre but the food is a bit solid and canteeny (if I can make up a word), like cauliflower cheese, wholesome rather than exciting, but one of the few totally vegetarian places in the city centre.

 

There's alot of indians that do veggie options obviously, the best i've had is Cafe Guru, which is a restaurant not a cafe and the food is quite expensive but really good, much more interesting than the generic vegetable curries you get at a lot of places.

 

Anyway there's plenty of places for you to try so have fun! I'd go for a wander along London Rd where there's reasonably priced restaurants from most parts of the world to choose from with lots of places that do some veggie dishes.
