tgspencer Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 Does any one know of a pub/ale house in Aughton in the late 1800's called the Hammer and Chisel, any info on this would be of use as I am looking into my family history and I lived in this house after it was a pub. I think that it was a pub for a very short time, as there are no records of it on any census returns. I have been told that a photo of this pub was seen about 7 years ago in a house in the PEN1STONE (wont allow the correct spelling) area, if you know of this photo please let me know.
