Katya
Canton Orchard food is OK but I find the atmosphere really cold. As far as Broomhill is concerned, Thyme Cafe is good, Buon Deli does excellent Italian food and I think does a cheap deal for early food. I personally don't rate Cipolla but a lot of people do. Unfortunately the best place in Broomhill, Bah Naan has now closed down.
Flightlevel
Balti King is dire and has had more than it's fair share of run-ins with environmental health. The nearest decent curry houses to Brromhill are in Crookes, were there are several to choose. Try Jaflongs right at the top. Or if heading the Canton Orchard way the Ranmoor Tandori is just up from the Ranmoor in (50yds) take your own alcohol from the next door off licence.
