If not for the useless council and i could vote (yes im stillunable to and not happy about it) i would vote for anyone apart from useless Labour, and the left/respect party whatever they cal themselves now, maybe they would be called "we have no backbone".

why can't you vote?

if you are registered, (and make sure you are registered), and are over 18, then you will have a vote.

it seems "they" are afraid to actualy knock on doors ,

ive only had the usual "knock and run" where they have left a glossy leaflet on the matt, telling us about all the great things they will do "next time"

shame they never do what they say, just squable and act like children in a playground,

i did vote (even though i never got my polling card)

id have thought the turn out would be a good one as its been quite warm and sunny ;)

My area of Arbourthorne has had no flyers or candidates around to ask us how we will vote. Not one candiadate was outside the polling station either. Not that i believe in what they say. It would have been nice to ask them about local issues.

I don't understand that happening, as I know at least one of the Labour councillors in that area, and I know they have been working very hard canvassing.

As for "not one candidate was outside the polling station either"...

Erm... Hello?

There's more than one polling station in a ward...

Unless you've found some way to break the space-time continuum, and allow someone to be in two or more venuse, simultaneously, it's an impossibility for that to happen.

At the time you were at your polling station, the candidate could have been at another one. It's not beyond the realms of possibility, you know.

Never thought I would, but I'm voting Lib Dem. Joe Taylor's campaign in Hillsborough has won him the vote of our household. I just hope he manages to deliver what he's promised otherwise the vote is there to be lost again! ;-)

On a serious matter, I'd like to thank Joe for the time and effort he has put in to winning votes in our area - that - for me - demonstrates dedication to the cause. Last time out (General Election) I voted UKIP and my partner voted Labour.

Somehow we got to vote twice.

Once for the local elections and one for the Parish, so the silly old sod told me.

Sat there looking as bored as hell, he was!:hihi:

There was only the Conservatives and the Lib Dems for the parish election, so I voted Lib Dems.

As for the local election one, the BNP got my vote, as they have for the last couple of years.
