Saff
La Luna up at Banner Cross on Ecce Road is good and you can take your own wine- its got a more bistro type feel and the pizzas are on that lovely proper Italian base.
Shape
Nonna's on Ecclesall Road is always outstanding, one of my favourite restaurants in Sheffield - brilliant modern Italian cooking, and an ace wine list too! You can look at their menus here
johnbradley
Pasta Bar...just on Sharrow Vale Road - it runs parallel to Ecc Road...well priced, fresh italian cooking. The head chef left Nonnas and set this one up a couple of years ago...so all the quality is there, without the lofty pretentions. In other words, it's top. Shape
Oh, and there's Taste - a cafe near Hunters Bar roundabout, that does breakfasts, sandwiches and more substantial lunches in an Italian style. I think they have a couple of bistro nights too? I also think the OH mentioned that there's some sort of Nonna's or Pasta Bar connection there as well, something to do with past chefs maybe? getphysical
Vittorias, small but very friendly - fab food. It's towards the bottom of Eccy Road, just above Champs.
Panther
Eccy road is very overrated. La Romantica on London Road is one of longest established Italians in Sheff...n for good reason
