Devonshire Arms - Beeley

My family called in around a month ago hoping for Sunday lunch.

Having eaten there before it seemed a suitable place to go to as we were in that neck of the woods.

Shown to our table, noticed on the menu that the place was now a gastro-pub.

Food for four (large and child's size Sunday roast, ham sandwich and fish and five chips) came to £53.

Admittedly, good food, but come on! The ham sandwich - for a five year old - was over £9!

Still, the place was busy (a busy pub, remember them?) and there was a nice atmosphere. But the price was, IMO, too much and I certainly don't mind paying extra for good food.
