Leelaa
I'm taking a few friends out for a curry to the Mangla on Spittal Hill. Never been before but was wonderingwhat is the best pub in the area to meet in and where to take the carry outs from. What is the East House like just acrooss the road? Leelaa
Thanks for that. I guess by "used to" you mean that they dont do that anymore. Is there an offy nearby? Cheers
MuteWitness
Yeh theres an offy and a polish shop that has some nice cheap largers as well - they are across from the mangla. I thought you could still take drinks from the pub.

Andy C
The East House is just across the road from the pub and it does real ales, there has always been the tradition of buying a jug of ale and taking it across the road to accompany the meal (the staff will collect the jugs and return them to the pub at the end of the night). Within walking distance is the Corner Pin on Carlisle Street East, the Harlequin on Nursery Street and the Riverside on Mowbray Street.

sierraman
East House serves excellent Moonshine, in fact the best in Sheffield I reckon. Also good pubs within a short walk are Harlequin, Riverside, Fat Cat and Kelham, all real ale pubs.
