Zebra
Gotcha, might go and look, if not it's Meadowhell for Virgin then. Back up option for now, carving knife. Thanks all
Heyesey
Syringing is my last option, I've never had it done yet and always figured I should be able to manage without. But I'll do it if I have to It's not remotely as bad as everyone seems to think.
Chopsie
I think Earth Angels on Sharrow Vale Rd is no more - but I saw ear candles in Beanies at Crookes last time I was in there. They open 7 days a week, so could well be open tomorrow.
Zebra
It's not remotely as bad as everyone seems to think. It's not the reputation, it's more that my body is meant to deal with it and I'd rather approach it naturally than whack it with clinical intervention straight away. There's nothing particularly "clinical" about squirting water in yer ears.
rach108
you can get drops for yours ears at the Chemist (the one on the whicker should be open tomorrow). This will loosen wax up.
Zebra
No but I can't say that I've ever found a natural water feature which jets it in there at the right angle and at body temperature and happens to be saline too!

But you've found a natural feature which drips in olive oil and rubs a cotton bud around inside the ear canal?
pattricia
But you've found a natural feature which drips in olive oil and rubs a cotton bud around inside the ear canal? Exactly. Olive oil may soften ear wax, but does NOT remove it. Cotton buds are the worst things you can put in your ears.
Zebra
A cotton bud is mans new version of a pointy stick! and olive oil is pretty good and natural, besides I used a straw to put it in, it could have been a small piece of hollowed bamboo
