New Sheffield Brewery Opening!

Recommended Posts

Excellent news, we already have some great locally produced beers and another local brewery can only help. With increased fuel costs it makes more sense for pubs to get beer in from Sheffield (as long as it's good) than import stuff from down South or elsewhere

Hi all,

We are opening a new cask ale brewery here in Sheffield on Carlisle Street East.

Called The Brew Company we have have successfully sold out our test brews at the Kelham Island Tavern and The Hillsborough Hotel and had fantastic feedback from the CAMRA chairman and drinkers alike.

We are nearly ready to open our brewery in a lovely Victorian building which is under refurbishment. Our brewery will be installed on the 23rd of June and our first beers will be available the first week in July, so look out for our distinctive pump clips on a bar near you!

We will be offering brewery tours and tutored tastings in our very own visitor centre.

I'll update the forum when we are open for business but until then you can check us out at http://www.thebrewcompany.co.uk

We also have a blog at http://thebrewco.wordpress.com/

OMG! Some Good News at last!!!

By the sound of it, it looks like it will not be far from Club Xes!

Maybe Gary and Simon could get some real ales on tap in addition to the regular Stella/Carling/Boddingtons, etc...

Thanks for that Tyranna! I've contacted them via their website so fingers crossed!

Do venues on the gay scene ever have hand pump cask ale on the bar?

If not i wonder if they are missing a trick?

Who on earth sells beer in wine glasses?

Put some proper pint pots on your website.

You must have some strange looking wine glasses in your house!! And if you look at the Brew Crew page you will see a pint pot!

The glasses shown on our website are sample glasses so visitors can sample different styles without getting sloshed. Drinking good beer doesn't always have to be about being a big man that only sups pints.

I like a pint and we serve pints and halves and samplers.

When i was at the great british beer festival last year they did 3rd of a pint glasses allowing you to sample a lot more than meerly a few pints. :)
