HottyMcBuff
Trying to find out if the Restaurant section of Takapuna is seperate from the bar. Have been there in the evening for a drink and it all seems to be quite busy with drinkers. Supposed to be going with girlfriends parents and bit worried it might not be the best kinda place for restaurant meal. (Going in on weekend night @ 8ish). Any help / opinons appreciated :-)
Greenback
I've heard bad things. Better off going to a dedicated restaurant, I reckon.
annaO
I went to the 'opening night' of that restaurant, so this was a while ago. The menu choice and the food was good, but it's not a restaurant!!! You have to sit, very openly where everyone can see and hear every word, and pass by your table to get to the upstairs bar. I haven't been back in there, so maybe they've screened the area off, but we (6 of us) all waited to get a atable in the corner as none of us wanted to be 'on show' when eating. I think in the day, not a problem for food, but to call it a restaurant..???? Not where I come from!

genesiscouch
I like the venue as a bar but to be honest I've never been impressed with the food. I had a steak baguette once that was honestly not edible...as in I couldn't physically chew it. Great place otherwise
