I remember vividly my 1st day, Sep 68, full school uniform, tie, blazer with school badge on the pocket, leather satchel over my shoulder, Gawd was that scarey, taken from the homely surroundings of Maltby Street & finding myself in this HUGE building with hundreds of kids. Loved every minute of my time there though catching school bus from Attercliffe & then when we moved to Parson Cross (whilst I was starting my 4th year at Park House) having to catch 794 to Janson Street & walking to Attercliffe Common, calling to bakers for a tomato breadcake n waiting to catch 87 onto school.
