Ousetunes
Found myself in The Dore Grill on Tuesday lunch time. It was supposed to be tapas at the Devonshire but they don't serve food on Mondays and Tuesdays (maybe folk in Dore abstain from eating on said days?). Well, the food was tremmy, three courses for about £11 (not that I ever bother with a sweet) and the place was packed - with well-dressed but slightly too loud pensioners. I honestly expected George and Mildred to walk through the doors, what with the retro-1970s surroundings - no, really, it's a lovely place. I mentioned to my other half that I felt a bit under-dressed (jeans and shirt; well, we were supposed to be going to a pub). Next time I'm going to dress up. I'm going to wear a coffin. nosy nellie
I agree, The Rivelin Hotel ticks all the boxes. You will not find a better view on a nice summers evening and the landlord and landlady will accomodate your every need. The food is second to none.
