Clare_11
News of a new high specification apartment scheme on the part of the current Waitrose car park where the recycling facilities are currently located onto Napier Street. Details are not finalised but the scheme will include approximately 60 apartments constructed to a high quality using sustainable materials where appropriate and reflecting the brewery history of the area, Have a look at the visuals (flickr.com/photos/28079125@N08/2613560742 and flickr.com/photos/28079125@N08/2613559882/in/photostream) and let us know what you think. Little Buzz
Just what the area needs, more flats to be rented to no-one. Brewery Wharf always seems to have some to let. I would imagine it will make the little streets around there even more crowded and pot-holed.
ultracynic
isn't that right by the unsafest cashpoints in sheffield?
Little Buzz
It's quite near to Velocity Tower too. Quite a lot of flats there - is there really demand for 60 more - particularly in the current financial environment?
nick2
What happens to the recycling point though ? I find the line "constructed to a high quality using sustainable materials where appropriate and reflecting the brewery history of the area" amusing. You can barely tell there was a brewery there anymore.
JoJo72.0114
Have a look at the visuals and let us know what you think. I'm guessing here but did you forget something I know you can't post a link directly but just put a few spaces in it
Tony
It will be shaped like a giant barrel and smell of rotten eggs. Clare_11 you can't post links until you have 5 posts, so perhaps you can post enough so that we can work it out?
El Robbo
isn't that right by the unsafest cashpoints in sheffield? The Waitrose ones? I use them loads and never seen any problem - is there something I should know?
Chopsie
The URL in the OP seem to be for a page on flickr that is private rather than public, unless it just doesn't like me - flickr.com/photos/28079125@N08/2613559882/in/photostream Still, we clearly need more apartments in this part of town, there's only a few hundred at the moment. elora*
If they are going to move the recycling facilities then i hope they will resite them somewhere near as they're in a perfect place for me
