boyo
Does anybody know where there is a cricket bowling machine that you can hire by the hour? And does anyone know how much it would be?
unuspromulti
No idea on hire but what would you like to use it for?
mary70
batting practice seems a fair shot

unuspromulti
batting practice seems a fair shot True although I wouldnt really recommend them in for general batting practice, wont go into it but real bowlers if possible are much better.
boyo
Well yeah obviously but then again i'm not going to ask 5 bowlers to run in at me for an hour where as a bowling machine does not get tired and can place the ball every time on the shots I need to practice
unuspromulti
Yeh for working on specific technical areas or particular shots you want to practice they're ok, its just if its for general use with classes of kids for instance they're not much good, which was why I asked. boyo
Yeah basically i'm working on trying to play the ball a bit later on my drives because its going in the air to often so i want it on the same spot over and over again
unuspromulti
I see how you mean although if it's your timing that's the issue you shouldnt use a machine. If its more of a case of your footwork/balance, getting over the ball as it were and looking at where your left (if RH) elbow is positioned when hitting drives etc then that sounds fine. boyo
Yeah its getting my front foot forward to the pitch of the ball that i'm working on, i end up taking my first step backwards before the ball is bowled atm and thats what I need to work on because that why its going in the air.
