Draggletail
Just discovered the 'Mail Preference Service' It seems that you can register your name/address to stop receiving unwanted junk mail. They also offer a service that stops 'baby related' junk mail - a welcome service for any one whose child may have died.... Martin_s
Worth noting that this is for junk POSTAL letters, etc.. Not Email, which is what I initially thought it was...
smithy266
Thinking of putting a waste bin by the front door, with a note asking the postie to deposit such stuff straight in, instead of through my letterbox. Would this be allowable, or would the Post Office consider he was not doing his job? What does the team think?
Redyam
Anything you don't want, write 'return to sender' on it, cross out the address, and repost it. Acting like a moron won't stop ANY mail.
smithy266
Hang on, who are you calling a moron? I am thinking about the stuff that isn't addressed to you, just leaflets, take away menus and that sort of stuff.
XXTickerXX
Is that a record? Bumping a 7 year old thread?
PeteMorris
Is that a record? Bumping a 7 year old thread? Quite possibly. Another answer to reducing it at least is not to fill in online surveys and offers and deals, they all generate unwanted emails and post.
