Rlass (who is never wrong) says the shop was lower down on the opposite side of the road, below Audrey Rd. However Kirky there is a difference in ages between you and her ladyship, so maybe it could have changed.

Thanks for the photographs----very interesting , but sad too.

I went to the school from '46 to '49 and we lived on Audrey Road , so it brought back a lot of old memories.

By the way , have you any idea why they had to rebuild it ? Is it to do with the building material they used ? A lot of schools built in Victorian-Edwardian times are still going strong.

 

not sure why they are doing it most probably wear n tear,manor lane as just been done and st.odswalds is also being modernised.

yes my school took us to meet mr lions for swimming lessons then after a few lessons, our thoughtful teachers realising his bullying nature took us all elsewhere!
