Tooeg
I'm not sure whether this post should be here or general discussion. Does anyone remember in the 50s or early 60s when the competition prize on the cornflake packet was an American looking bungalow. I've no idea what the competition entailed. I think the news of the world or maybe the Titbits had a similar prize. I wonder if they were ever won, if so where they were, probably a new town somewhere. Eater Sundae
Somewhere on the South Coast, I think, in the Newhaven area. Maybe Peacehaven?

Eater Sundae
I don't remember the competition. An ex-g/f mentioned it once, and it's stuck in my brain, but I can't be certain about which town, just the general area. I've had a search on Google, but not found anything - so I may be talking a load of rubbish.
ZanebA
Kellogg's Cornflakes definately ran such a competition in the '70s. I can remember the box at breakfast, the house was so modern in comparison with the surrounding 20th century houses I had always known.

Tooeg
I thought I'd just bounce this back up the leader board to see if it brought anything out of the woodwork.
athy
I suppose it could have been in Cornwall, or maybe Wheathampstead. I was a regular Cornflake muncher in the late '50s, but I guess that at primary school age winning a free house didn't seem important. Collecting those little plastic racing cars out of Sugar Puffs was much more exciting.
