natalie H
I went to see The Little Mermaid on broadway in New York a couple of weeks ago and it was sooooo fantastic :D
Anna K
Seen Blood Brothers and enjoyed it, but seen Les Mis 4 times and absolutely LOVED IT! Fantastic Costumes, scenery, sets, effects, music, singing, rousing ensemble pieces, and a hugely effective storylines set against the dramatic background of the French revolution. A brilliant piece of theatre.
Classic Rock
I can't believe Mamma Mia hasn't had a mention. Easily the best show I've seen in the West End. The Sound of Music was superb.
Rich
Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring Gareth Gates, starts in June apparently, I entered a competition in one of the TV mags last week to win tickets. I also want to see Hairspray having seen both the original and 2007 remake movies.
Karis
It's either got to be: Wicked or Mama Mia Wicked has a brilliant story and is really spellbinding. Mama Mia has oodles of energy and is really fantastic. Hairspray is also a serious contender, as is Chicago, but the last few times I've seen it, I felt it was a bit lacking in sparkle. musbird
Les Mis is one of my all time faves. Saw Mousetrap in London (which isnt technically a show but its a fab play) Went to London last weekend and saw DIRTY DANCING - only a few rows back - OMG it was brilliant!!!! they were so much anticipation for THAT line "nobody puts baby in the corner" and I tell you what - the actor got it spot on!! Also saw We will rock you last weekend - that is also very good - but as a Lady Dirty dancing has my heart!!
Rich
Oh yeah, we went to see We will rock you for my 30th Birthday (nearly 3 years ago) and it was bloody BRILLIANT!
Alien
I saw Les Mis a few years ago, and hated it. Phantom is not my cup of tea. I took my daughter to the Sound of Music which was brilliant. To be honest, I'm not very au courant with what's on at the moment. Cabaret is supposed to be good. Chicago doesn't appeal to me personally but is supposed to be good as well I believe. I'm a bit with you on this suffy. I think also that the choice seems to be pretty samee. Nothing screems out to me to say..."you must come and see" Couple of yrs ago I went to see "Thunderbirds"...2 man show. Great fun!
Anna K
For something a bit different you could try 'The woman in black' It's a ghost story, very atmospheric and scarey. Well worth a look.
colaroid
les mis is amazing-everyone was snuffling at the end. My favourite by a mile was the lion king-the costumes are spectacular and when the giraffes came onto the stage during circle of life I got that adrenaline rush feeling-it was sooooooooo good
