Remember Mick (Michael) Marrison from Hackenthorpe?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone remember me? Born on Vale Road (1948) and raised in Hackenthorpe. Went to Carter Lodge school in the 60's . Then at Chesterfield Art School. I was in the Parachute Regiment until 1974 (3 Para).

Both my parents were deaf, so my brother Ralph and I stood out a bit because of hand signing to them. Now living on Vancouver Island, Canada.

My friends at school were Anthony 'Tony' Summers, Kieth Pigott, Nick Earnshaw, Anthea Wragg, Christine Silvers, Glyn Bingham, Billy Thistlethwait. Any of them ring a bell. My brother is Ralph Marrison (Melbourne) and his buddy was Derick Wilde. I remember school plays like Toad of Toad Hall, School choir public performances and after school soccer inter school competitions. I think my house was Unicorn.
