jamesf1982
does anyone know of a decent tapas restaurant in sheffield? Ive had good tapas when working away but never seem to be able to find a good tapas restaurant in sheffield. Not really looking for a restaurant chain, looking for a nice "family run" restaurant with good quality fresh cooked tapas. Its for a special occasion!!! ANy ideas? ta
pete_jim
The Mediteranean (sp?) on Sharrowvale Road used to have a Tapas menu for the early diners better ring and check if they still do it, and there's Platillos in Leopold Square. Both independently run not 'chains'.

Unisol
You could always try Platillo's in Leopold Square which we have always found to be excellent.
Chopsie
You could always try Platillo's in Leopold Square which we have always found to be excellent. I would second that! As good as any Tapas I've had in Spain.

feargal
Is La Mancha on West St. tram stop any good? It always looks nice when I've looked! We went here a few weeks ago, on a Sunday evening. Pretty boring stuff really, everything seemed very oily, and some of the dishes weren't as flavoursome or spicy as we expected. There was also a "drainy" smell every now and again wafting from the kitchens.

smsm
I wasn't very impressed with La Mancha, ordered about 6 dishes between 2 of us and the only one either of us thought was any good was the chicken burritos. I love Cubana though, if you go between 5-6.30 (I think) it's cheap as well.
