tavie_chain
there's one behind orchard square, like, out of the back entrance towards the cathedral [if you know what I mean] i THINK it's called Gusto Italiano, over the road from that entrance, they make all their own food fresh in the shop that day and they're Italian people who own it and they're so lovely and it's not stupidly over-priced and usually a lot quieter and nicer IMO than chain coffee shops/cafe's hope that helps =]

Ms Macbeth
Lynne's Pantry on Surrey Street. Traditional sandwiches, drinks etc, and lovely home made cakes and scones. Its not the cheapest, but its always packed at lunchtime.
SHANE-D-PAIN
Feast on Chapel walk. It's not a Cafe per-se but they do excellent paninis and a wonderful coffee. Their cheesecake is to die for too.
