coletteh
Hi all, we haven't been out in Sheffield for a good few years now (only just moved back to the area). What's the consensus on the best Italian food in town these days? Would love to find a nice little trattoria rather than a fake pizza restaurant! For now I'm just after city centre or Hunters Bar/Eccleshall Road area places, as we need to get the bus home to the Hope Valley afterwards. Thanks for all suggestions
tweetypie
BB's on division street is very nice and highly recomended on here also. It is not a chain restaurant either. Also bring your own wine.
mrsmills
I'd probably avoid Antibos
Gaikokujin
Strada in Leopold Square has been very nice on the 3 or 4 occasions that I've been there. It is a chain restaurant which some people prefer to avoid for whatever reason but if (like me) that doesn't matter to you then it's heartily recommended. tasha_78
Try Piccolos just off West Street on Convent Walk. Its a real Italian restaurant owned and run by Italians

Paulmat
If you're OK with Eccy Road, try Maranello's (spelling?). Really great. (Strada is quite nice too)
speenie
i second PICCOLOS just off west street, but also been to strada which was good - two different atmospheres with piccolos being more intimate.
