jake Posted March 10, 2005 Share Posted March 10, 2005 The Vine is on Cemetery Rd, and down at the bottom nr London Rd is Dulo - which was the Beer Engine for many years - cannot remember what it was called before that... but no Victoria - maybe someone has confused it with the Vine? Plain Talker Posted March 12, 2005 Share Posted March 12, 2005 The only pub called the victoria I can remember, was one down hillsborough/owlerton, which was demolished almost 20 yrs ago when penistone road was widened. it was not far from the Swann Morton Cutlery/ surgical instruments place. carcrash, try picturesheffeld (dot )co (dot ) uk, and see if that turns up anything? I think the earlier poster may have been referring to the Lansdowne, which was kind of opposite the old cinema, and at the beggining of Lansdowne road which was demolished in the 1990s.
