Where does the overflow at Ladybower go?

That "stream" below the dam wall is the continuation of the River Derwent.

 

Li Purnell - there's a name that evokes old memories :hihi:

 

The tower of Derwent Church, dedicated to St. James and St. John was blown up on the 15th of December 1947.

hehe sorry Ruby, I myself find the clips and pictures of it quite scary, which is why I'd like more info on it.

msbehavin started a thread on this a while ago and almost everyone was scared of the damn things! I've done a search but it must have been culled sometime.

 

It's a pity, there were some great pix and some good stories on it.

 

edit: couldn't find it here but google Ladybower, scarey, pix and quite a few different threads come up, including the msb one! http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-204401.html

eekkkks though, some of these are even worse! :o
