pattricia
Yes, it would...but I am powerless to include a link until I have 5 posts on this forum, so you'll have to wait. No problem chris. I would like to send the link to someone who went to Myers Grove school.
chrisrodgers
Here is the link to the 'Myers Grove: Ten Years On' film. http://www.yfaonline.com/assetDetails.cfm?film=2048&keyword=&sortby=&theme=4&by=theme&caseValue=theme&start=1&fromSearchValue=fromBrowseBy I am under the impression that it was made in-house in order to commemorate the opening of Sheffield's first purpose-built comprehensive school - soon to be closed for good in 2011. Btw, there is a mini-film on the current MGS website (http://www.myersgrove.co.uk/index.phtml?d=43874), which is following the demolition of the science block and the building of Forge Valley School. The IT staff have made the film based on webcam images. Enjoy!

docmel
The film can be found on the yfaonline website...I cannot include a link because I have only just joined the forum. I would appreciate any thoughts, feelings and memories that you have about Myers Grove and the film in particular. We are attempting to gather as much information together as possible before the school closes for good next year. Finally got my hand on a copy of this film and what fabulous memories it brought back. I went to Myers from 1964 - 1969 and on the whole have nothing but great memories. I was totally shocked though to see me in the film (one of the trombonists in the band) and also hear me playing (backing track to the 'fashion show') I had totally forgotten those being recorded. Too many memories to list here, but remember some great teachers, great mates and great times

Hi, if you google 'YFA Online' it should be the first result, and then the film is esay to find either by typing in Myers Grove in the Search bar, or by decade, 1960s. A new batch of films from Sheffield and South Yorkshire will be going onto the site by the middle of July. There is also an Open Space on the site for anyone to leave any additional information or stories relating to the film.
