Minesadouble
Hello all I have stupidly broken my Tumble Dryer an item of clothing was jammed in the drum. The air blows through but the drum will not rotate.... Any suggestions??? It cost around £100 2 yrs ago.... Help .... Do I - Call someone out to repair it and It cost me a call out fee and parts ? Or - Just Go and buy another ? Any suggestions are very Welcome... A boring thread but just cannot decide what to do Thanx x
Magneteer
Before calling someone out, I would unscrew the back panel ( unplug from the mains first of course!) and check that the belt is not broken or been forced off the pulleys on the motor and drum. The drum is driven by a belt powered by a motor and if the drum isn't turning this is the most common cause. A new belt shouldn't cost more than about a fiver. Strix
It gave out an almighty 'thunk', and I decided it was best to turn it off We hadn't budgeted for a new drier this month Mad suggestions for clothes drying much appreciated (coz I need cheering up ) *goes to find screwdriver*
KenH
1. Put it on the line. 2. If you can't find a screwdriver then this may be the root of the problem.
jena76
Probably best you turned it off. You will have to put the clothes on the radiators until you get a new one i think.
