JohnM
I'm sure the Venue in Stockbridge is a fine place - but has Alexander O'Neil's appeal really got that.. er.. selective.. recently?
THE VENUE
Hi All Yes Alexander O'Neal is appearing at The Venue in Stocksbridge on 27th September. It is Alexander O'Neal the legendary soul singer and not a tribute act, its the real deal. The show starts at 8pm with a support act called Soul Mates who have worked with many legendary soul acts as backing singers and then at 9-30 Alex takes the stage. Watch out for interviews on Radio Sheffield later this week. One of us saw him at the City Hall twice about twenty years ago and he was awesome, leaving the stage and reappearing first in the grand circle and then the balcony. This concert will be special because he doesnt always play with a live band but he is at The Venue. We dont have a particulalry large hall so it promises to be very intimate and the audience will feel like Alexander is right next to them and very personal. This concert features Alex with a band that has three keyboard players, pretty much like he had at the City Hall. Sorry about the price but hey thats what Alex costs to us.
